She attended the University of Tampa and graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Pre-law. She attended Shephard Broad College of Law at Nova Southeastern University in South Florida, earning her Juris Doctor in 1999. She was admitted to the Florida bar in 2000.
Ms. Plummer worked as an Assistant State Attorney for the Office of the State Attorney, Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, providing legal services on behalf of the Department of Children and Families in order to protect children who have been abused, abandoned and/or neglected. Part of her role as a Prosecutor involved Dependency hearings, mediations, adjudicatory hearings, modifications of placements, judicial reviews and termination of parental rights and appeals cases brought pursuant to Chapter 39, F.S.
After years at the State Attorney’s Office, Attorney Plummer opened her private family law practice in St. Petersburg in 2003. Her practice focus has always been Marital and Family Law, including dissolutions of marriage, child custody, timesharing issues, equitable distribution of assets and liabilities, alimony, child support, mediations, marital settlement agreements, modifications, relocations, advising clients who live out of state in legal matters, paternity, step-parent adoptions, and domestic violence injunctions.
In April 2013, Attorney Trinoskey purchased the law practice so Ms. Plummer could focus on her small children and a non-profit she helped establish that provides service dogs for veterans with PTSd. Today, Ms. Plummer joined the Law Office of Aimee Trinoskey and brings decades of experience to the family law practice.
In addition to traditional divorce law, Attorney Plummer also practices Collaborative Family Law. She received her Collaborative Law Certification in 2006 and became a member of the Tampa Bay Collaborative Group at that time. In 2009 she became a member of International Academy of Collaborative Professionals (IACP) and in May 2019 attended a 3 day course from The Florida Academy of Collaborative Professionals in Orlando.
